EarlyON Child and Family Centres
Great beginings inspire great possibilities!
EarlyON is designed to provide a broad set of free programs and resources for parents and their young children. Drop-in programs are offered in more than 900 locations across the province.
The Ministry of Education has identified mandatory core services that must be available to children and families across the province of Ontario. The local DSSAB oversees the local delivery of these core services related to:
- Supporting early learning and development,
- Engaging parents and caregivers, and
- Making connections for families.
EarlyON Child and Family Centres offer free, online booked programs for children up to six years of age and their parents/caregivers. They are a place to engage and connect with others in the community and feel a sense of belonging.
You will be welcomed by qualified early-years professionals who can provide support, advice and helpful resources. EarlyON centres are where children and their parents/caregivers can learn, play, laugh, be curious, make friends and engage with others. Where possible, outdoor programming is also provided so please come dressed for some outdoor fun!
In addition to in person programming we offer a variety of virtual programs through our Facebook page, i.e. Lets get physical, Inspiring Little Minds, ABC, 123, Franco Fun and an activity of the week. Please follow us on Facebook at EarlyON Child and Family Centres in the District of Parry Sound as well as on our website at www.foreverychild.ca
Weekly we offer both an in person and virtual Moms to Moms group. This program is for new moms with infants up to 18 months of age. Workshops such as pregnancy and post-partum pelvic health, infant development, car seat installation and infant dental health are offered on a regular basis. Older children are welcome to attend as well. For more information please visit our website or call 705-746-9522 ext 4300.
Free parenting workshops are offered that are designed to strengthen and promote positive adult-child relationships. Parents and caregivers can develop skills to better deal with the joys, challenges, and stresses of being a parent/caregiver. Parents with a specific concern about their child’s behaviour can book a one to one session with one of our Triple P Practitioners to consult and create a parenting plan that works best for you and your family.
