Homelessness Prevention Programs
Our Homelessness Prevention Program is here to support individuals and families in the Parry Sound District who are experiencing housing challenges or are at risk of losing their homes.
We provide assistance in a number of ways, including:
-
Help for those facing eviction or homelessness
We work directly with individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to help secure and maintain stable, long-term housing. -
Tenant and landlord support
We offer education and mediation services to both tenants and landlords, helping to prevent housing breakdowns before they happen. -
Public education and awareness
We work to increase understanding in the community about homelessness, housing insecurity, and the importance of affordable housing.
We can help if you are:
-
Struggling to pay your rent or utility bills
-
Facing eviction due to rental or hydro arrears
-
Unable to afford connection or reconnection fees
-
Living in unsafe or unstable housing
Whenever possible, we aim to help individuals and families stay in their homes, as the availability of affordable housing in the district is extremely limited.
