Financial Assistance in the form of fee subsidy is provided to eligible families, enabling them to access a broad range of child care programs and supports.

Parents eligible for a subsidized child care space must be working or attending an educational program.  Children with special needs may also be referred and receive a subsidized space.

Eligibility for child care subsidy is based on a family’s income, expenses and asset levels.  Families must apply to the Children’s Services office at 746-7777, Ext 235 or 277,  or 1-800-461-4464.  An appointment will be scheduled to complete the application form.  Financial documentation will be required.

Purchase of Service Agreements with community providers of child care programs are negotiated and monitored by Children’s Services to ensure financial accountability and program quality.
