“Best Start is a comprehensive, evidence-based early learning and care strategy designed to help give Ontario’s children the best possible start in life and help them achieve success in school.” Best Start is community driven and each community will decide how best to organize and integrate services to meet its population’s needs.
Building on the Vision for Best Start, the Parry Sound Best Start Network will focus their planning activities on moving towards achieving the community’s vision of an integrated system of services that is seamless from the child and family’s perspective and that is responsive to the needs of all community members, including families of children with special needs, Aboriginal, Francophone and other culturally and/or linguistically diverse families.
The Parry Sound DSSAB in partnership with a Best Start Network Committee has developed and implemented planning at the local community level by submitting to the Ministry of Children and Youth Services:
